80s Music Playlist

Folks, I have, amongst others, an 80s Playlist on my 'fruit based digital music player' and would like your opinions and suggestions as to worthy additions to the list. I have included the tracks thus far so you can get a handle on how my cheese-o-meter is poised ..... 

It is by no means exhaustive and there are probably some obvious omissions in there, so all sugg's gratefully received .... (that reminds me I don't have any Madness on there ! See what I mean !?)

Before you notice, there are one or two pushing the limits of 80's (ie Wham - Everything She Wants '97 and M - Pop Music) but you get the drift.

Nice one, which tunes though do you reckon ? I am sure there are some hidden treasures which I have never heard before.

I was trying to avoid the slower tunes though - Cutting Crew's Broadcast album is my all time favourite but I won't be slapping any of theirs on the list,

quite an impressive list there   ... often i see some people list's that contains say 70 out of 100 songs ,that were'nt even popular, let alone mainstream favourites !

this is a very good list i can certainly relate to though    ... ( as well as some ol' fav's that don't get much air play anymore - for some reason ).

some i'm not familiar with - others i would exchange for a differant song of theirs & some would be irradicated - but the majority would stay i reckon    

here's some other ones : Artist's / bands anyway    ( i'll leave the title options out , as it could go & on - but some are just OHW's ,the bands might jolt your memory for songs )

Ah excellent ... yeah for some reason I had FYC on my list but I have been ripping the rest of my CDs over the last few days and making all the MP3 tags 'just so' (yes I'm like that) so something must have happened on the way to heaven..

I had totally forgotten Pseudo Echo (I have that on 12") - the band once reported to be Philip Schofields favourite band in the days of the broom cupboard etc etc ... so you're right about it jogging memories !

Just what I was looking for, bring em on when the mood takes you !

some classic there but, with music being very personal to the listner, imho there are several "important" or influential bands and artists that aren't there...

smiths / morrissey
new order / joy division
depeche mode
cure
prince


admittedly, not everyones taste but all either still banging out great music and or influenced much of today's artists...but thats just my opinion

Agreed, I have Joy D 'Love' on my sad tunes list .... Even though it isn't necessarily sad but it is to me !

You chaps are reminding me of ones I forgot which is cool - would prob choose 'What Difference' by Smiths, 'Just Can't Get Enough' by DM, 'U Got The Look' by Prince etc etc

Lol .... Funnily enough, whilst using Nero to remove the 'noise' from it, I listening to said noise instead of the actual track and it sounded like a 3 minute long wet fart ... over a telephone .... (don't ask me how I know what that sounds like ...)
