I also hate songs that make groups of sweaty blokes hang onto each other and dance crapply.  A Town Called Malice is an example...

Town Called Malice is okay if you can dance like Billy Elliot.

I know what you mean. I've seen folks pretend to be cats for that song.  ::) ::)  :knuppel2:

D'Arty reminded me of another dancefloor Discount decanter "Dancing Queen".

I would so love to be cool and say either "The Birdie song", "Superman", "Agadoo" or "Oops upside your head".   .   but I was on that dancefloor with bells on as soon as the opening notes blasted out :-[

Honestly, the one that springs to mind is "Loveshack" by the B52's.   .   .   not a bad choon I hear you say, true enough.   .   but try dancing to it! It starts off in earnest but never appears to want to end.   .   after the fifteen hundredth "bang, bang on the door", "bang bang" ad nauseam; not only was I completely knackered, I was so bored that I almost lost the will to live! And as much as I LOVE come on Eileen.   .   .   try looking sophiscated at the same time as hurling yourself around the dancefloor, arms and legs "windmilling" in all directions!

Just come back to edit as I posted this before I read everyone elses. . . Love shack has already been mentioned. . so I'm not the only one!!!! yay! I thought it was just me! I suspected that the "comedy ones" would be up there. . great aren't they?
