Bubblegum pop queen of the 80s, Tiffany, is set to appear in Playboy next month, according to reports from various wire services. The once-popular singer, who had hits with a re-make of I Think We're Alone Now and a gender-bending twist on The Beatles' I Saw Her Standing There, saw her popularity flag over the years as other bubblegum icons came along and knocked her out of the limelight. Now married and the mother of a young son, Tiffany, has reportedly had breast implants and will be showing them off in the April issue of Playboy, hitting newsstands on March 4th. Still popular in Asia and rebounding from disappointing sales of her "comeback" album, despite solid reviews, the pop idol claims on her tiffanymusic.com web site "I became aware that the world still views me as the 15-year-old performer I once was... I view my appearance in Playboy as the first step in presenting myself to the world as I am." (This item was compiled by IMDb staff)

I remember seeing her perform in the 'old' Bull Ring Shopping Centre in Birmingham back in 1987, just as I Think We're Alone Now was being released in the UK.
I then managed to get a signed copy of the 12" single, as she did an instore appearance at HMV.
Aaah such great memories ;D
Last I had heard was in the press a few months back that a guy from Cannock in Staffs was now her new boyfriend & living with her in America, after allegedly bumping into her in a club & chatting to her.
-
Late January, 2003 -- Tiffany performs in clubs in England and Wales. After that, she does a number of American performances.
May 22, 2003 -- Tiffany was originally scheduled to appear on a Fox TV Summer Music Mania special, but declined to participate after finding out that she was not going to be singing on the show, but just participating in a bikini contest.
July 8, 2003 -- Tiffany appears on the E! Network's Star Dates show, where two guys get a date with her, covered by TV cameras.

Although 'I Think We're Alone Now' was a good song, I thought 'Could've Been' was her best one!!

I Think We're Alone Now (and Kylie's I Should Be So Lucky) were the first 12'' singles I ever bought. I bought them from a bargain bin at the same time. I wasn't sure what a 12'' record was exactly, or if my record player would be able to play them :-[ - and pocket money was tight - so I was in and out of Woolworths every day, waiting for them to go down to 99p (or whatever it was).
Later on, I bought the 7'' Radio Romance. I only heard Could've Been once or twice at the time, but liked it.
I didn't like I Saw Him Standing There.
I lost track of her after that. Never bought a studio album, but I picked up her Best Of cd in recent yrs. I still haven't got to know all the songs. The 3 I liked all along, remain the 3 that I still like most.
I'm surprised that Could've Been hasn't been covered (to my knowledge). It could be a hit all over again.
