« on: July 07, 2004, 11:58:57 AM »
I just bought Scritti Politti's Cupid & Psyche 85 CD  -  in the HMV sale.

Anyone any idea what happened to them, mostly Green Gartside?????? ???

Coincidently, I've just been listening to the 1999 album 'Anomie & Bonhomie', and I'm also keen to know what he's up to now. If I find out I'll let you know.

Just had a quick scan on a search engine and the last thing I can find reference to is a Scritti album from late 2001 called 'Songs To Remember'. Can't find anything more recent than that.

Green Gartside ... pop's great procrastinator!  god bless him, he certainly takes his time between LP's!  his last appearance was a pseudo-duet with kylie minogue on her Body Language album.  you'd think he would at least put together a hits package for his fans...

Just to update my last post, 'Songs To Remember' was from 1982, and remastered in 2001. Sorry.

I see him down my local pub in East London regularly. I thought he looked familiar for ages, til somebody mentioned he lived in the area and I worked out his identity! Don't know what he's up to musically, butb he seems a very genial sort of chap, and very well-preserved considering he must be mid to late 40's....

Which pub?  I wonder if he was the chap I was just talking to . . . ?  Never had any of their albums, but he seemed pretty cool.
