What happened to Mick Karn?

When he and David Sylvian had a faight (over some girl that Sylvian "took" from Karn, if I remeber this correct), Karn released some material on his own, such as "Titles" (1982)


Then he formed Dalis Car, with former Bauhaus member Peter Murphy. I think they only released one LP.

I lost contact with his music after that, but in 1987 his "Dreams Of Reason" was out, and later he has released some material.

I also think that Karn and Sylvian became friends again with the "Rain Tree Crow" project.

Now to my questions:

a) Does anyone have information about what really happened between Karn and Sylvian?

b) What kind of music did Karn do in the late 80's and 90's? Any good?

c) Does Karn have a homepage? I've tried to locate it, but without success. (Doesn't EVERYONE have a homepage these days?!?)

d) More information is welcomed! I'm collecting info for a future site about the synth/romantics era - and what happened after that.

Mick Karn did have a very short colaboration with peter murphy (ex of Bauhaus) in which i think they recorded 1 self titled album and a singlr "The Judgement Is The Mirror"...

I was well happy with this as my 2 fave bands were, you guessed it, Japan and Bauhaus. O0

I think Mick did some work on film soundtracks and did work things out with DS

Not sure tbh Jonas. Last I heard he was working on an album with Richard Barbeiri and Steve Jansen under the name JBK.

Other than that, cant really help you.

On another similar note, whatever happened to Rob Dean ???

This thread's been inactive for ages so I just recently re-discovered it. Thanks everyone for your help!

I've just bought some biographies with/about David Sylvian, and it'll be interesting to see if they mention anything 'bout Mick Karn and the problems David Sylvian had with him... :)
