I tried not to buy novelty records - money was too tight to mention - but I did inadvertently get some rubbish when I bought a "lucky bag" of 4 singles. I could see the outside one was "The Monochrome Set" - Wallflower, which was worth the 50p anyway.
The other 3 were :
Steve Winwood - Freedom Overspill (not bad - but not good)
Vicious Rumour Club - Whole Lotta Love (rap version of the Led Zepp classic and TOTP theme for a while) this had DJ Cheif Double D scratching and William B Nice Fuqua (
) rapping - nice if you like that sort of thing.. Oh and the a side was the "tough edit" and the B side was the "alternative version" !.
The other was Raymond Froggatt - Don't Let Me Cry Again, a typical C & W offering with all the usual ingredients.
Of the 3 this was the worst 80's record that I've bought.
I still have all of them- if anybody wants a copy ?
