Hang about. You're being a bit Christian-centric. What if Pete meant 1980s in the Jewish year numbering system. That would be nearly 4,000 years ago.

Or whose to say it's not in Islamic years. In which case it's in the future.

I was selective with the facts from www.on-this-day.com only choosing the more interesting ones...
and www.onthisdayinhistory.co.uk says that Take That featuring Lule were at #1 in 1983. I don't think so!

And I should only post the #1's in the UK if they made it to #1 on that day Shy (I think people might go and watch some paint drying otherwise  )
