England for the Six Nations this year, reckon England will beat France in Paris, Scotland in Edinburgh and Ireland at Twickenham.

Based on last weekends performances yes that prediction is correct but the frogs have a nasty habit of inflicting a severe caning on teams when they've played like that.

Mind you same as the world cup... Neutralize Michalak and keep their back row in close and you stand a chance as the sweaties proved on Sunday.

Would love to do France in Paris, more than winning the other games to be honest, make up for 2004.

What Maverick means is 'do any readers come from the 30 square miles of northern England where anyone gives a f**k about Rugby League?'.  :)

 OUCH !!!

30 square miles? Just getting ther map out, and i notice Warwick is a wee bit more than 30 miles from the north   ;D   and as for Harlequins Rugby League, surely thats even further from the north!!  ;)

So Viscount....when you goto a kick and clap game with your caviar, don't you dream of a pie and and pint at a League game  O0

It can be a faster game, I grant you.

But internationals are all I really watch - and it's an RU world out there (and yes I know there are southern hemisphere Rugby League teams).

Plus, I can't really get into RL's geography. I mean where the hell is Castleford, for example?

 Castleford- M1 Junction 42.

You say its a union world out there, that is true, but League is becoming more popular through out the UK and Worldwide and now we have a French team in Super League. Last year the Leeds Rhinos had a average home gate of 17,000 which is more than any other domestic League and Union clubs.

But it has to be said, piss-poor compared to Leeds Utd, and bearing in mind that Leeds has a population around the 750,000 mark.

The Castleford point is a fair one, Mav. Who's ever going to care for a league where the second from top team is some lay-by off the M1!   ;D

(PS: And yes, you can counter with Orrell... where?  ???)

Actually Castleford is off the Trans Penine M62 (junction 32 I believe) O0

We have a lot's more motorways in the north ... in fact the M6 was the first motorway to be opened in the UK O0

RL is much more exciting and skilful than RU and the rules are less open to interpretation (line-outs rucks ... etc.)

A few years ago Wigan showed those west country bumpkins - Bath - how to play both codes ;D ;D ;D

Maverick makes a good point about the attendance levels !!!

But if you want to base your world on the M25 ring road ... that's your choice ... after all you do have a better (subsidised) public transport system than , say, Castleford ;)

* takes tongue firmly out of cheek ;)

To be fair every one cheers when England wins the six nations or World Cup in Rugby Union, who would remember if the England (sorry Great Britain, bah) won the Rugby League World cup or the Rugby League Ashes? Rugby League is just a break away game and will end up merging into Union, which really it should for the good of Rugby in general, it just devides Rugby supporters, you would not see two forms of cricket, football or any other major sport.

Why do you call Scotland the Sweaties?

It's short for sweaty socks - which rhymes with scots ...

Why did you need 2 posts to ask the question? ::)
