I know and accept that Ball Sports take a lot of training too
but do they really forefill the criteria of the olympic standards

Speed, Strength, Skill and Stamina ??

Football (Soccer) to mention one
Is there Not a World Cup ?? The Football (Soccer) version of the Olympics ??
And as a team event with Substitution ??

Bit like the 4x400m relay team doing a team Substituting every 200m?

Some should be I guess that have been there for yonks.  The basketball for example.

HOWEVER, sports that should not be in the Olympics (not necessarily ball sports) are:-

Beach volleyball
Synchronised swimming
Rythmic gymnastics
BMX
Mountain biking
FOOTBALL
Hand ball (despite all the "OMG you have to see this", that there was on TV about this sport, I don't think much of it)
Tennis

There are so may sports in the Olympics nowadays that it seems to be manic!

Wow this really is impressive! I've heard of Parkour runners before but I would never have imagined it so artistic! Some moves resemble a lot to those shown in high diving so I guess it won't become an Olympic discipline...

I Don't think these People Would be Happy With A Set of Routines to have to Follow

BMX started off With A Bunch of People who thought they Were Rebels
Randomly Building ramps And Jumps, Taking over Skateboard Parks, Using old Quarries, And Being Chased off By the Police

And theres A Valid Point, China is 40 times Bigger And America is 38 times Bigger than the UK........ % of Land to % of Land, you think how Many Medals We Won, We Are World Beaters just Waiting in the Wings

The UK Falls 80th in the Worlds Land Mass index

So To Be 4th in the Overall Medal Winners in the Olympics
Is Outstanding Achievement By Team GB, that you Can not deny !!
