80's Bar Chain "Reflex" - ave any of u lot been?

I went to Blackpool about 3 weeks ago, and nearly wet my pants at the site of a fairly big dedicated 80's bar called Reflex. The place was in my humble opinion, no less than fantastic (even down to the toilets being sign posted "East End Boys" and "West End Girls"  O0 ) - the decor shoutng out the likes of Dangermouse to Madonna.

I was pleased to find that this was just one of many reflex bars dotted around the country (mainly up north... Grrrrr!!) - Has anyone else been and wot did ya think? - should I make it an ambition to visit every one of them in the UK?  :-\

LOL!

I think that you'll find another poster here named anj and myself are probably the board 'ReFlex Regulars'!! 

I enjoy my local one.  However, I wouldn't go on a mission to visit them all  :D  I should imagine that one is very like another.  I find that they are a good source of 80s cheese.  I'm still enjoying niteclubs of today, but I do enjoy a blast from the past every so often  :)

I thought it was Andrea who went to Reflex Shreddie?

I haven't been yet but keep meaning to. If I EVER get this training/degree finished I will! ::)

It's not very big.  Open till 2am.  It's right by Southend Central train station if you are coming down by train. You just walk out of the station and it's practically under your nose  O0

Do you know what sort of crowds go in there - I really am getting (pathetically O0) desperate to find me a good woman of similar age to m'good self ;) Do ya get many peeps in their 20's in there ?? -

Is there a particularly good nite to go?

It'll cost an arm & a leg to get a taxi back to Hornchurch from S/End so I may as well try to make the best of it!

There is a very wide mix of ages in there Lee.  Plenty of twenty-somethings so you should be OK  O0

Get the train!  It's much easier.  Although I suppose it would tie you to train times and I've no idea when the last one out of town is.  Southend Central is on the Fenchurch Street line, although I think you would have to use the Liverpool Street line from Hornchurch, I'm not sure.  Even so. Southend Victoria Station is only 5 mins away!  You'd only have to get a cab back then  ;)

I've only ever been there at Friday/Saturday nights.  Remember, it's not a very big place!

Oooooooooh,I may have entered Reflex on the odd occasion!

Lee-if you are ever in the Birmingham are,there are 4 I know of.
2 in the city centre-Broad Street one is my 2nd home.
1 in Solihull
1 in Sutton Coldfield(I haven't actually sampled this one myself)

Theres always loadsa girlies too-which would be a total bonus for you.

There's one in Croydon, it used to be called "Flares," but changed to Reflex a year or two ago. Good place...

Hang on: Good Place + Croydon = Does Not Compute!  ;D

I've been to Reflex in Bristol. It's OK. I don't really do huge busy city centre pubs, as a rule.
