I have been watching the World Athletics Championships over the last few days and have come to this opinion, which I would appreciate you thoughts on please guys.

Lycra shorts on men...............should it be BANNED!?!?!?!?!

I'm sorry, but its rather errrrrrrrrrrrr,    :o   I can't think of anything more stomach churning.................... :-\

Please feel free to move this to another section of the board if need be.  I wasn't sure what to do with it!!    lolol

The Swedish high jumpers did seem to be exceptionally pretty.

How crap are the Brits though?(Not that I could do better)

Quite frankly we are absolutely nutse at all track and field sports ATM,

We have F'all quality coaching, and f'all sponsorship (which much as it bugs me, is worth its weight in gold!).

During the early 1980's I could run the 100m i n 12.2 secs, at age 16.   what is our best time now.........................12.9.  WTF!!??!?!?!   Cathy Cook (bless her) still holds the British record for the 100m in 10,98 s from 1983 !>!>!>!>!>!>!>!>!>!   what is going on ladies!

We have F'all coaching and F'all interest in what we can achieve.  It seems to me that the Brits are expected to do 'OK-ish' and no more.  If we do, then it sdown to the 'others' being off sorts....................WTF?!?!?!/

I have a high jump height of 1.75m from when I was 17 (1987).  The best we can achieve nowadays is 1.70m for the world Championships!>!>!>!>!>!>         helloooooooooo!?!?!?

Yes, I am a wee bit tipsy, but WTF!

THE BRITS ARE GOOD AT SPORT IF WE ARE ALLOWED TO BE!     ARGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Where is the sponsorship and suitable coaching we need!!!

I didn't see it the first time,Obs!You are right though, apparently it's a good achievement if any Brit gets past the first round.
Apparently anyone who shows any sporting prowess in Britain is lured by the big money sports like Soccer etc.
I know when I was at school, the PE teachers could not be ar*ed at all,and had us running round the field most of the time,so they could sit and chat.

YUP, too true andrea!

I was a fan of Athletics for a LONG time, but over the last 3 - 4 years now, I can't really be bothered to watch  :-\   too many people using illegal substances too  :(

Sad state of affairs............... :-\
