Duran Duran on the Brits
« on: February 17, 2004, 21:39:40 PM »
Just finished watching Duran on Brits.  Even after 23 years, they've still got it, I got tingles up my spine at Andy's guitar solo! :)
They put Beyonce to shame! (At least they can play their instruments and sing)
What did everyone else think? ;D
I would go out tonight but I haven't got a stitch to wear ...

They looked older than the Rolling Stones, but they still sounded really good.

Jamie Cullum and that Methusalah girl or whatever her name is should be ashamed at the way they murdered Lovecats! And Busted ruined Teenage Kicks grrr

WISH THEY'D MADE THE PEICE A BIT LONGER, I WAS WAITING FOR THE REFLEX AND RIO, SO WAS A BIT DISAPPOINTED, BUT THEY SOUNDED GREAT!!!!!!

GLAD THE DARKNESS WON, THEY REMIND ME SO MUCH OF THE ROCK BANDS OF THE LATE 70'S/EARLY 80'S. EXCELLENT

Thought Duran were tight and pretty good. Compared to Cullum/Melua and Busted they were magnificent pagan gods. It brought a tear to my eye to hear "Love Cats" and, especially, "Teenage Kicks" being brutalised in such a shocking, appalling manner. One can only hope that Busted wish to cover "Wild Boys" is given short sgrift.

In total agreement...Duran Duran seem to inspire a lot more respect now than they did back in the 80's.

Good to see The Darkness getting some recognition.

The first person to mention the Stephen Hawking in a Catsuit Appreciation Society gets a slap.
