I remember being seriously ill after drinking a load of pernod and blackcurrant early in the 80's while on a training course in Edinburgh, I still can't stand the stuff 20 years later  :-X

I think thats the thing with Pernod-once you have tasted it regurgitated you can NEVER drink it again-even the smell if someone else is drinking it is vile

Yeh - you're right but bitter is cheaper than lager and it was less fizzy ;D

Think you mean bitter & cider ???

Dunno bout that but pints of diesel are ok (half lager, half cider & blackcurrant).  Makes snakebite drinkable ;)

Jellybean is also ok but u only need 2 to get u drunk (cider, pernod & black in a half glass) ;D

I had a bad experience with malibu in the late 80s, ended up locked in a pub toilet being sick with my mate having to climb over the door to get me out.  Still can't stand the smell of malibu :-X

Frogbite - snakebite with a shot of Blue Bols to make it turn green was a popular drink at Southampton University 1987-1990.
