Is Vic There? is a bona fide classic!

Made funnier for me and my mates by the fact that one of them had a dad called Vic.

I just remembered that I bought I'll Find My Way Home by Jon & Vangelis in a fit of madness in the 80s.

Jon Anderson appears to have a tender part of his  anatomy in a vice while he sings over this tinkly dirge.   :(

I was about to say that I've never bought a bad record, when "Das Beste Sclager-Hits Aus '97" arrived.

40 fat German artists in leather pants, green stockings and meatball moustaches yoddeling... :5opera:

Amazon had delivered the wrong record and they've promised me my money back. So technically speaking I've never bought it. ::)

And since I get a post for writning about it it cannot be that bad, or? ::)

I used to take a risk and buy 7'' singles from the bargain bin, songs that I'd never heard before. Sometimes it would pay off, and end up with a gem that I was thrilled to have found.
Other times not so much. There was a girl, I think her name was/is The Real Roxanne. I thought she looked (on the cover) like a girly pop singer, and was hoping for a StockAitkenWaterman type of track. It was a rap song. Not for me at all.

Yes, that is a hideous track - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HwDTfsR6Y3w

There were worse rap tracks in the mid 80s though, especially THIS - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jjoY90SWJzI
