the lyrics do worm themselves into your brain...i'm worried that the next time i hear the original i will start singing her lyrics 

I feel the artists are cheating themselves by creating something that they won't be able to top because they barely created it themselves.

At first listen this did annoy me a lot. The more I listen the more I see in it though. First, if you must use this sample, it's probably best not to do to much to it 'cos it's pretty much perfect as it is. Second, the lyrics really are very good. The fact she might dissuade one young South London kid from making identikit grime sounds has some merit. Third, it's keeping the electronic sounds current. Admittedly she's not the only one, there's a lot of electronic and synth heavy stuff about, but that being the case she's part of a movement which is great. So I'm reserving judgement. What do folk think? With this AND the Echo Beach sample I reckon she really does love this music. If she's bringing, solid, decent pop music back to another generation then I'm all for it. Reckon there'll be mixed views though. And it's a sweet, faithful, if not ground breaking cover. That someone like her is about makes me happy

Hmmm. She's got an album. Just checked out her myspace which has mini mix of the album tracks. At first listen the track she sampled is comfortably the best on there. The rest is pretty much gash with the exception of 'Man Who Got Away' which sounds ok-ish) (http://www.myspace.com/mphosounds) 1-0 snappy, lol.
