Arghhhh - I do with hindsight wish I'd spent that time with girls.  I'll never get it back either.  <big sigh>

But you're making up for lost time now  ;)

Gotta put a vote in for the Super Mario Bros. series. Took platform gaming to a new level and along with Donkey Kong launched Shigeru Miyamoto. Be a very different world without Miyamoto-san.

I have to admit that when they moved on from the basic "shoot em up" games it did make anything possible for the old games  :)

Still love Horace Goes Skiing though for the Spectrum   O0

I loved a game ffor the C64 called The Sacred Armor of Anti-Riad... you start as a nude bloke and have to collect armour pieces to finally be able to fly out of a post apocalyptic forest... or something.

I also loved Asteroids on the Vectrex... a mate of mine had it and twas awesome.

My parents wasted a lot of money on Game and Watches as well... loved em and still have em.

At the arcades I loved Digdug and Mr Do.
Don't read this, read my review for Lesbian Vampire Killers!!

I was chatting to my brother about this topic when I saw him at Christmas. His favourite 80s computer game was Fred for the Spectrum. I found it online and was able to play it there and then on an emulator. I remembered it pretty quicky but, my lordy, it seemed so slow and basic compared to how sophisticated games became. Did we have more patience in the 80s?!
